The Olson House, Cushing, Maine - Site of Andrew Wyeth's Christina's World

Being Olson's, when my wife and I saw a sign in Cushing, Maine, pointing to The Olson House, we just had to see it. It is the setting of American painter Andrew Wyeth's 1948 tempera masterpiece Christina's World. The woman depicted in Wyeth's melancholy painting was inspired by polio-stricken Christina Olson.
